This curvaceous and sinister blade is light, fast, extremely sharp and optimized as a machete and bush knife . It is a slicer and slasher, not a brutal basher. This style of knife originally was developed in the Philippines . A favorite tool of the infamous Moro pirates. This is a lightweight reproduction of a traditional design. It has a frighteningly sharp edge to it. I field tested this thoroughly and it holds up. It is preposterously good for hacking and slashing through brambles, ferns, vines, thickets, small to medium size branches etc . It is great for batoning fine kindling, and is also wonderful for carving feather sticks for lighting fires.
My large knives are usually on the thicker and heavier side, and I am delighted to have crafted a lightweight piece. This can be comfortably swung all day long. The flare the bottom of the handle ensures a solid grip that allows for a lot of force and momentum to be applied without worrying about slippage.
Created from L6 steel sourced from upcycled antique lumber mill saw blades from the PNW Timberlands. L6 is tough and flexible, and holds a particularly keen edge.

My blades have soul to them, They are entirely hand crafted, and unique. You won't be able to match the quality, performance and passion of these knives with anything store bought. They are heirloom quality, extremely effective tools.
The blade is differentially quenched and tempered L6 high carbon steel. Which is to say, the spine is soft, flexible and durable, the edge is extremely hard. The result of this heat treating method is that you have a springy blade with a killer edge that will last through a long period of use.
The handle is carefully sculpted to fit the intricate complexities of the human hand. I have sculpted 2,000+ handles thus far, and have refined grip ergonomics to an art. They are incredibly comfortable.
I harden my knives using a computer controlled kiln. Using this tool allows me to get maximum edge retention out of a given piece/type of steel.
Each blade I sell has a my lifetime warranty, covering reasonable uses. With proper care, one of my blades could last multiple generations.
