It is forged from one solid piece of 5160 spring steel, perfectly balanced, with pyro painted texture on the handle and guard for added grip and style. The small guard ensures your hand will not slip onto the blade no matter how hard you are striking.
The blade has a double hollow grind on each side, with a thick, tapering medial ridge running down the centerline. It was quite tricky to do, but the end result is worth it. It is EXTREMELY sturdy with no flex. You could stab this into a block of wood and stand on it with no issues.
The beautiful coloration on it is from my proprietary tempering process, and is a natural result of the heat treating, no artificial dyes or patinas. Just what the steel wants to do with a bit of encouragement in the right direction.

They are incredibly comfortable. This knife is entirely one piece of perfectly hardened and tempered steel. The texture adds both style and grip, it is not flat, it is contoured to fit your hand beautifully in a variety of grips.
I harden my knives using a computer controlled kiln. Using this tool allows me to get maximum edge retention out of a given piece/type of steel.
Each blade I sell has a my lifetime warranty, covering reasonable uses. With proper care, one of my blades could last multiple generations.
