A tomahawk is a friend in the wilderness like no other. You can cut down a tree, split firewood, build a shelter, hunt an animal from up close or throwing distance, butcher and skin. They are a versatile and useful implement.

This blade would be perfect for camping, or bushcraft adventures!
For a Renn faire persona, SCA events, or just as display piece above your mantle. That being said, please note it is extremely functional.

Cutting edge length: 3"
Edge to poll: 7"
Overall length: 19"
Weight: 1 lbs 11 oz or 766 Grams
Blade steel: Ball Peen Hammer in another life.
Handle: Fire hardened Hickory soaked with boiled linseed oil.

The head is hand forged from high carbon steel, only the last 1.5" or so of the blade (The cutting edge) is hardened. The rest of the head has been left unhardened to better withstand impacts. The main body has been given a spring temper.

The cutting edge is a heavy convex grind (Think the shape of an apple seed) to stand up to the rigors of chopping that a tomahawk undergoes, while still being sharp enough to skin an animal if need be.

The handle is fire blackened, oiled hickory, and is held on to the head using a friction fit, a small wedge, and brass pins. This style of handle is comparatively easy to replace in the field, using just the head of the tomahawk.

That being said, If you are throwing it or using it to an extreme, you will occasionally need to re-tighten the fit with a few well placed taps.

The sheath is hand tooled leather, also made by me. It is sturdy, and held together using rivets. The blade cover is secured on with a snap.

Everything I sell has a lifetime warranty, if anything happens to one of my pieces during the course of normal use, I will repair it.

Victory through fire and steel!
